It is quite easy to add additional IP's to a single network interface (Wifi or wired, doesn't matter) in Linux. But your just substituting name:port with name/directory so a minor improvement, though at least the directory part could be the printer name. Perhaps there would be a way to achieve this using different “directories” on the web server, name/directory notation, which might be a little better than port numbers, though I’m not sure how to configure ngoni to do it. The reverse proxy can definitely make decisions based on port numbers, inline the DNS system, but I don’t think it can present multiple IP addresses to the world. What’s needed here is to present several IP addresses (hence several domain names) to the outside world and map them to one host but different ports. Normally they take a bunch of requests going to one domain name (IP address) and route them on to several different hosts on an internal network, or I suppose VMs on the same machine, but the reverse proxy server presents a single IP address to the outside world. I’m not sure you could get there with one.
